You may also contact us via email. If you have scheduled a meeting at our studio, we have provided an online map for your convenience. We have a parking lot directly behind our building. If this lot is full, ample parking lots are within a block or two of our studio. If you are coming from NYC, you might consider taking the LIRR. We are only two blocks east of the Garden City LIRR station

Web site cover photo - April 2008
This month's photo is of Maria and Rob and was shot at Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay, NY. The shot was taken on the south side of Coe Hall in the heart of the arboretum. The Arboretum is a popular spot for wedding photography; so much so that some days you could find up to four brides at once. This day, early in the season, we had the place to ourselves.

Web site cover photo - March 2008
This month's cover photo is of Royce and Chad. The photo was taken at the newly renovated event space at Temple Israel of Lawrence, NY. The space features a long hallway dressed in mirrors, red walls, hip furniture and wall-sized prints. This shot tricks the eye because it was taken in between two mirrors, one on the wall in front of Royce and Chad and one on the wall behind them. This is why you can see so many reflections. Michael says the real trick was taking the picture without revealing himself in the mirrors.

(WE) MUST LOVE DOGS!
We really do love dogs. A lot of our couples do too. Whenever we encounter one of our four-legged friends, we always take a pic!
We thought we would share some of them with you. The first two are Michael and his wife Chris Ann's "kids".

Did you know that throughout this journal there are links to some of the fantastic locations and vendors we mention. Just look for bold text and click!
Web Site Cover Photo - January 2008

We're starting off the new year with an image of Jennifer and Daniel that faithfully represents how far professional digital camera technology has come. The low-light sensitivity of the latest technology from Nikon allows us to achieve superb image quality in near-darkness. It doesn't hurt to have a beautiful couple, of course. This image was shot in front of Westbury Manor in Westbury, NY, well after sunset.
A word about parking
Our new location at 745 Franklin Ave in Garden City has some ample parking locations that you may not be aware of at first glance. As our storefront is on Franklin Ave, there is no parking directly at the curb in front of the store. However, there is a municipal parking lot directly behind the store which allows for free parking. There is also more than one lot directly across the street from the store. We have created a helpful map to assist you, available at our website by clicking on the Contact link on the home page.

While the parking in the lots is free, please take note of the time restrictions. Some spots are 1 hour limit, others are 2 hour limit and some are 8 hour limit. Also, some have no limit on Sat/Sun while others only have no limit on Sun. The Village does ticket violators.

Starting fresh - January 2008
Well, after much effort, we have finally completed renovation of our new location and are officially conducting business. We even had a formal ribbon cutting with the Garden City Chamber of Commerce and made headlines in the local newspapers. We are thrilled to be a part of such a historical and elegant community and wish to thank the local officials for their cooperation and guidance. We would also like to thank our realtor, Bernie Del Bello of Windsor Commercial Real Estate for such a great find. We would also like to thank all of our couples again for all their support last year and in years prior. You are the heart and soul of Bliss Productions!

Now, after a deep breath, we can finally catch up on the real work - editing your videos and photos, designing your albums and finally updating this journal.

Here's a quick photo tour of our construction journey...

Before we started. Ugh!

Gutted.

Finished! :)

WE ARE MOVING! (this is good news) - November 2007
Yes, we are moving, but not very far. After a few great years (thanks to all of our couples) we are leaving our current Williston Park office and moving less than 3 miles South to a storefront location in the heart of Garden City, NY. Our new location will be done in a "Soho Gallery" style and will be ready on or about December 1st, 2007. We are currently renovating the space and will put up some progress pictures soon.

In the meantime, please take note of our new phone number 516.442.0490 which also appears in the header of our website. Our new address will be 745 Franklin Ave, Garden City, NY, 11530. The store is on the East side of Franklin Ave between Stewart Ave and 7th Street, amidst lots of great restaurants, shops, a Dunkin Donuts and a Starbucks!

Also, our main photographer Michael will be taking on a more active role in the sales and customer service portion of our business, so don't be surprised if he answers the phone. Michael thought it was important to be more involved with our couples not just during, but before and after their wedding day. Jerry is still around, we're just giving him a well-deserved break from the day-to-day stuff.
Eva and Jeremy - September 2, 2007
Eva and Jeremy are another one of our Jersey couples. They chose the Rockleigh Country Club for their wedding reception. The Rockleigh is a beautiful, classy venue. We got some great relaxed portraits on the property just before sunset.

We never get a warning when a couple is going to dip, so we always have to be ready for one of these.
