Michelle and David's Rehearsal Dinner - May 2, 2008
It's not often that our schedule permits shooting a rehearsal dinner, but this time it worked out. And we are glad it did. Michelle and David are a hip couple and a lot of fun. Their wedding planner, Allison Cozzini of Lindsay Landman Events, chose Kittichai restaurant in Soho, Manhattan as their dinner location. The place is ultra hip and the food is top-notch.

A reflecting pool in the middle of the restaurant with floating candles and orchids that appear to float in thin air.

Mojito heaven.

Exquisite hors d'ouvres.

Time for some toasts.

And a few portraits after dark.

(WE) MUST LOVE DOGS!
We really do love dogs. A lot of our couples do too. Whenever we encounter one of our four-legged friends, we always take a pic!
We thought we would share some of them with you. The first two are Michael and his wife Chris Ann's "kids".

Maria and Rob - March 29, 2008
Maria and Rob have a special connection to Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay, NY. This shot was taken on the south side of Coe Hall in the heart of the arboretum, after their ceremony. The Arboretum is a popular spot for wedding photography; so much so that some days you could find up to four brides at once. This day, early in the season, we had the place to ourselves.

Royce and Chad - March 8, 2008
Royce and Chad's wedding day was held at the newly renovated event space at Temple Israel of Lawrence, NY. The space features a long hallway dressed in mirrors, red walls, hip furniture and wall-sized prints. We were lucky to have such a cool interior to shoot in because outside was rainy all day.

This shot tricks the eye because it was taken in between two mirrors, one on the wall in front of Royce and Chad and one on the wall behind them. This is why you can see so many reflections. Michael says the real trick was taking the picture without revealing himself in the mirrors.

There are so many great shots from this special couple's wedding. Check out Royce & Chad's wedding slideshow by clicking below.

Web Site Cover Photo - January 2008

We're starting off the new year with an image of Jennifer and Daniel that faithfully represents how far professional digital camera technology has come. The low-light sensitivity of the latest technology from Nikon allows us to achieve superb image quality in near-darkness. It doesn't hurt to have a beautiful couple, of course. This image was shot in front of Westbury Manor in Westbury, NY, well after sunset.

Lori and Kevin - January 20, 2008
Lori and Kevin's wedding was somewhat of a destination wedding for us as it was held in Philadelphia, PA. It was a cold and windy January day, quite different from Jen and Daniel's day only a week before. Despite the cold, the city of brotherly love didn't disappoint. Lori and Kevin planned their day well and their hotel, ceremony and reception were all within a few blocks of each other, and within a few blocks of the heart of downtown Philly.

Their church ceremony was held at the oldest church in Philly, St Joseph's.

A cozy pose in the pews after the ceremony.

Despite a strict order against shooting in front of Independence Hall (a state park), we managed to click off one frame before they chased us out.

The chilly walk to the reception location, The Downtown Club.

Forgot to mention that this was NFL playoff sunday and a big one for Giants fans. The only TV around was in the mens bathroom. Here's the guys huddled around the set.

Jennifer and Daniel - January 12, 2008
Jennifer and Daniel's wedding day started with Jen getting ready at her parent's house in New Jersey and Daniel getting ready in Staten Island. For January, the weather was just gorgeous, a balmy 60 degrees. Their ceremony was held at St. Ann's Church in Staten Island.

Here's nice shot of them exiting the church.

Hanging out in the limo.

Their reception was held at Westbury Manor in Westbury, NY. We managed to grab a few exterior shots just before the early winter sunset.

A classic shot of a beautiful bride.

A word about parking
Our new location at 745 Franklin Ave in Garden City has some ample parking locations that you may not be aware of at first glance. As our storefront is on Franklin Ave, there is no parking directly at the curb in front of the store. However, there is a municipal parking lot directly behind the store which allows for free parking. There is also more than one lot directly across the street from the store. We have created a helpful map to assist you, available at our website by clicking on the Contact link on the home page.

While the parking in the lots is free, please take note of the time restrictions. Some spots are 1 hour limit, others are 2 hour limit and some are 8 hour limit. Also, some have no limit on Sat/Sun while others only have no limit on Sun. The Village does ticket violators.
